Silver Dollar City is Gearing Up for Major Expansion

The popular Silver Dollar City Theme Park in Branson, Missouri announced plans for a huge expansion. Silver Dollar City has announced plans for a new $30 million version of the classic Fire in the Hole dark ride and roller coaster. The new Fire in the Hole, being built by Rocky Mountain Construction, will feature a 1,512-foot track with three drops and 14 show scenes that lasts 2 minutes and 51 seconds. The ride will reach a top speed of 26 mph and will include a splash landing.

The new Fire in the Hole will be located in an all-new, 5-story building located on a new street behind Fireman’s Landing. The new combined area will be renamed the Fire District. Silver Dollar City will add new retail and food and beverage locations as a part of the expansion.
