Marketing is a great way to get new clients. Read below for some of the most effective strategies.

Referrals. Finding ways to motivate a previous client to spread the word about you is one of the most effective ways to bring new business. Offering discounts or other incentive programs for referrals is a good place to start.

Online persona. Do your website and social media platforms make a good first impression? The goal is to be as visually pleasing and simple as possible.

Showcase your expertise. Make sure you have specific expertise content on your website. Brushing up on search engine optimization in order to drive more traffic to your site is crucial, but so is making sure your passion for what you do is evident.

Try email marketing. While old-fashioned compared to other marketing techniques, email marketing campaigns land your message directly in potential clients’ inboxes and have proved to be resilient over the years.

Master social media. Most Americans utilize social media platforms for hours every day, and it’s wise to use that to your advantage.

Recruit reviewers. Like referrals, motivating previous clients to write online reviews about their experience with you is an extremely effective strategy.

Hit play on video. It won’t take much time on social media to see that video is king. Any videos you can make to promote your brand is going to get much more engagement and “curiosity clicks” than other media types.

Scout out new niches. No matter how long you’ve been in business, keep an open mind to what other niches you may be able to focus on in the future. Keep focus on your current niches of course, but dipping your toe into an emerging role may put you ahead of your competition.
