Car-sharing company Avail recently released the results of a new study, one that examined the current sentiment and behavior of travelers by generation.

Here are some of the study’s key findings.

  • Gen-Zers emerged as the most eager to travel more often than they used to, with 71% indicating that they’re making plans to travel more, or the same amount, in 2022 then they did before the pandemic.
  • Gen-Zers plan to spend more on travel in 2022 than any other generation. Nearly three in four indicated they would spend more, or at least the same amount, this year than in pre-pandemic times.
  • Gen-Zers plan to splurge on a really big trip this year, with 72% indicating that they either have already started planning one or are considering one. This is followed by Millennials (68%), Gen-Xers (60%) and Baby Boomers (51%).
