Vegas Begins Tourism Rebound

bottom_blob-1

Las Vegas recently reopened or lessened restrictions on its hotels and attractions, and their tourism economy is rebounding as a result. More than 2.2 million visitors were in Las Vegas in March alone, up 45% from February. Hotel occupancy ramped up to 55.5%, a 13.5% month over increase, making for more than 2.5 million room nights occupied (+46.6% month over month).

Additionally, the Las Vegas Convention Center has a convention booked for early June, receiving approval from the Nevada Department of Business and Industry to move forward with its 2021 in-person edition – the first since March of 2020. This convention, and others that follow, will greatly help Las Vegas reach pre-pandemic visitation norms before long.
