Travel Spending Growth Expected to Slow

The significant surge in travel spending and volume is not expected to last, resulting in slower growth in the next few years. This is according to the U.S. Travel’s biannual forecast going through 2026. Roughly $1.05 trillion will be spent on travel in America this year alone, 10% below 2019 levels and 16% below where it was predicted in 2022, if the pandemic had not occurred. Prior to the pandemic, the travel industry experienced 10 years of growth. U.S. Travel is advocating for federal policies to help the travel sector accelerate recovery.
