Brookhaven, a destination near Atlanta, Georgia has launched a Picnic in the Parks program to support its local restaurants. The effort from Explore Brookhaven encourages takeout orders from local participating restaurants by rewarding those who make qualifying purchases with reusable picnic baskets. The picnic baskets are to help patrons better enjoy meals outdoors at one of the eighteen parks in the city. Patrons are also encouraged to take a photo enjoying the meal, and of the picnic basket to post on social media, with Explore Brookhaven’s favorites receiving a special gift.
