How The Lifted Mandate Affects American Travelers

The mandate that required international travelers to test negative before entering the United States has been lifted. MMGY Travel Intelligence conducted a new survey highlighting the positive impact of this decision, finding 36% of Americans are more likely to travel outside the U.S. in the next six months. Meanwhile, only 20% revealed they are now less likely to travel internationally. Additionally, more than half of British travelers (52%) indicated that they are more likely to travel to the U.S. now that the requirement has been lifted. 

With the requirement removed, it seems likely that the U.S. will see an influx of travelers visiting once again. MMGY Global CEO Clayton Reid said “This is now the removal of an important barrier for continuing international travel recovery, both inbound and outbound the U.S.”
