While the months following Disneyland’s announcement regarding the sunsetting of its annual pass program has left many park goers fretting about the loss, we now know what’s next: a membership program.

Deadline confirmed the news last week after Josh D’Amaro, chairman of Disney Parks, Experiences and Products told the Los Angeles Times a replacement membership program was coming “relatively soon,” and Disneyland President Ken Potrock told the official D23 Inside Disney podcast that the park would “be launching something by the end of the year.” Potrock indicated that the new membership program will be heavily informed by guest demand and experience, and D’Armaro commented that the new program will “reflect the behavior of our superfans.”

Park executives are currently analyzing data from research conducted earlier this year, so more details on the new membership program are hopefully right around the corner.
