American Airlines has partnered with Microsoft Azure, a cloud platform to help create a superior experience for employees and customers. The platform will speed up digital modifications to meet customer demands and business processes for a smooth experience. The partnership was first introduced at Dallas Fort Worth International Airport using machine and data analytics to reduce taxi times. This introduction is saving thousands of gallons of fuel and giving travelers extra time on connecting flights.

“With the power of Microsoft Azure, American can innovate and accelerate its technology transformation, giving our team members augmented tools to provide our customers an enhanced travel experience,” said Maya Leibman, Chief Information Officer for American Airlines. The airline plans to move to one Operations Hub on Azure making American Airlines one of the first global airlines to adopt a cloud strategy for all sectors of business.
