Lifted COVID-19 Requirements Moved Travel Recovery Forward

International travel is finally recovering past 2019 levels after the international COVID-19 test requirement was lifted. According to data by Airlines Reporting Corp, ticket sales the week of the requirement being lifted was 2.5 percent higher than the same week in 2019. The week following June 12th, ticket sales were 6.2 percent above 2019 levels. Outbound travel is not quite above 2019 levels, but is improving since the announcement last month.
