Wisconsin Awards JEM Grants to Tourism Organizations
The Wisconsin Department of Tourism recently awarded $496,304 in joint effort marketing grants to nonprofit organizations that promote tourism. Eligible organizations include convention and visitor bureaus and chambers of commerce, and the grants come in five-round installments throughout the next year. These grants are available to promote Wisconsin tourism events and destinations and can fund up to 75% of a project’s first-year advertising and marketing costs.
“Tourism is a key part of Wisconsin’s economy, part of a multibillion-dollar ecosystem that will be vital to our state’s recovery,” Gov. Tony Evers said in a press release. “As more people start to travel again, the programs and initiatives supported by these JEM grants will help draw in visitors from near and far.”
