Amazon’s Alexa Boosts Hospital Staff Productivity

Amazon recently announced that hospitals including Boston Children’s Hospital, Cedars-Sinai in California, BayCare in Florida, and Houston Methodist would soon be using Alexa-enabled devices, which include its Amazon Echo speaker, to help patients communicate with health staff and control devices in their room.

The hope is that hospital staff will not need to enter patients’ rooms unnecessarily, in turn boosting productivity, conserving medical supplies and protective equipment, and even free up staff time to provide more personalized care. Learn more.
