Due to increased airline passenger traffic, the airline industry is now expected to return to pre-pandemic levels in 2023, a year earlier than previously forecasted.

This pick up in traffic is despite price increases caused by high oil prices and staffing shortages, as governments worldwide are continuing to loosen or drop restrictions altogether.
