Last week, the Broadway League announced that all 41 Broadway theaters will be requiring FDA or WHO authorized Covid-19 vaccinations for audience members this fall. Theatergoers must have received a second dose of a two-dose vaccinate or a one-dose vaccine at least 14 days prior to the performance date, and proof of vaccination will be expected upon entry along with show tickets. Masks will also be required inside the theater, except while eating or drinking in designated spots.

A 15-page deal made with the actors’ union also spells out the Broadway League’s plans to keep actors and staff safe and healthy moving forward, including full vaccination of actors and staff, on site Covid-19 Safety Managers, weekly employee testing and a temporary halt to autograph signings, meet-and-greets and backstage tours.
